The material which is used on roofs does not matter in resistivity against leaking of rain water.(except the spreading fault) The GRP (glassfiber reinforced polyester) meterial, that gets along well with itself, is used in roof details (rain gutter, chimney bottoms, raising wall foot, mail gutter) which canalize falling rain water to way down cavities to avoid leaking of water.
